The Dublin Festival of History is an annual free Festival, brought to you by Dublin City Council, and organised by Dublin City Public Libraries. The Festival has gained a reputation for attracting best-selling Irish and international historians to Dublin for a weekend of history talks and debate in the late Autumn. Previous speakers include, Jung Chang, Alison Weir, Tom Holland, Richard Evans, Charles Spencer, Hew Strachan, Peter Snow and many more.
The fifth Dublin Festival of History will take place from 29th September to 14th October 2017. This year’s Festival will have an exciting new Living History day for children and families at Richmond Barracks. Expect re-enactors, dressing up sessions, drama, history stories and much more!
