3 October, 2016 @ 6:30 pm

Using diaries, letters and other primary documents, this lecture will look at life for non-combatant women during Easter week 1916. The picture shows Monica Roberts who kept a diary documenting the events of the week of the Rising.

Fionnuala Walsh recently completed a PhD at Trinity College Dublin on Irishwomen and the First World War. She has since worked for the National Library and will return to Trinity for an Irish Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship in October 2016.
