On 21 January 1919 the first meeting of Dáil Éireann took place in the Mansion House while Ireland was still under British rule. By September the British authorities had proscribed the Dáil and it went “underground”. One of the places it met was Alderman Walter Cole’s house at 3 Mountjoy Square. Don’t miss this fascinating story of secret meetings and a hidden Treaty document complete with a tour of this beautiful Georgian house.
