Oral history is the collection and preservation of personal narratives through recorded interviews. It offers a chance for historians to access the unique life experiences of individuals who are often hidden from the historical record. Since 2010, the Oral History Network of Ireland has brought together individuals, local history groups and academics to offer support and promote the discipline of oral history in Ireland. In this talk, members of the Network will use clips to showcase the diverse range of oral history projects across Ireland and offer practical advice to those interested in recording their own interviews.
