Dolphin’s Barn Brickworks
October 5 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Join Cathy Scuffil, Dublin City Council Historian in Residence, as she unravels the story behind the Dolphin’s Barn Brick Company and the people associated with it.
The company was located on the Crumlin Road from the 1890s until 1944 with the clay pits extending from Kimmage to the grand canal at Goldenbridge.
The brickworks were a huge local employer, and many of the current residents had family who worked there in the past.
The iconic yellow Dolphin’s Barn bricks are an important fashionable addition featured in many house-sales promotions.
