It takes time to build a literary tradition. In Dublin: A Writer’s City, author Chris Morash sets out to produce a literary map of the city, area by area, looking at the ways in which knowing the literary heritage of our own neighbourhoods enriches our experience of living in the city.

In this talk, he’ll be concentrating on the literary history of the north side of the city, where areas like Finglas and Ballymun have been crafting their own rich literary traditions, which are distinctive and different from those of the older literary city inside the canals.
