Dublin Festival of History at DIAS Dunsink Observatory
October 5 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Throughout the night we’ll have a talk based on our historic Grubb Telescope housed in our South Dome and, weather permitting, some stargazing – all in the historic surroundings of Dunsink Observatory.
Meet the scientists at the Dublin Institute of Advanced Studies (DIAS) who are expanding our understanding of the universe, the Dunsink team who care for the history and future of the observatory.
Notes: Telescope observing requires dark skies and so the grounds of the Observatory are not well lit. As with many historic sites, the paths underfoot can be a bit rough, so wear appropriate footwear and bring a torch if needed.
Directions to the Observatory are available at dunsink.dias.ie/ gettinghere.
Enter Dunsink Lane on the Navan Road side, access is completely blocked on the Finglas side.
