Although (AE) George Russell was born in Lurgan, he spent most of his life in Dublin. Of all the major figures, including Joyce, Yeats and Shaw who spent their lives abroad at that time, the one constant to remain in Dublin was AE.

Indeed, AE was the very fabric of Dublin. One of his most famous protegees was PL Travers, of Mary Poppins fame.
