Presented by Culture Connects @ Richmond Barracks.
Join Dublin’s Historian-in-Residence for Children Dervilia Roche and tour guide Pat Garry for a special family tour of Goldenbridge Cemetery, as part of Dublin Festival of History 2021.
Find out about the fascinating 200-year history of Ireland’s first non-denominational burial ground, discover the hidden meanings of symbols and animal designs around the cemetery, learn how graves were protected from bodysnatchers, and more.

Please note, the tour through the Garden Cemetery takes place on uneven terrain and paths and we ask all visitors to wear sturdy footwear and please follow the guides instructions and directions at all times. This is an outdoor experience so please dress for all weathers. Whilst walking tours are a safe and enjoyable experience, in order to ensure social distancing, our group size is limited.
Advance pre-booking online is essential.
The meeting point is at Richmond Barracks.
