Commemorate the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Belfast / Good Friday Agreement at the GPO Museum.

This special guided tour charts the turbulent path to peace on the island of Ireland during the twentieth century; focusing on key developments in twentieth century Irish political and social history, culminating in the peace agreement reached in 1998.

Topics covered include the Home Rule crisis of 1912, the 1918 general election, partition and the emergence of two states on the island of Ireland, the outbreak of the Troubles, and power-sharing in Northern Ireland.

Notes: Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There are some flashing lights and loud noises in the exhibition.
