Women’s football started to develop at a rapid pace across the island of Ireland from the late 1960s. This talk by Helena Byrne will focus on the foundation of governing bodies for the sport in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland in the early 1970s.

Helena Byrne is a librarian who works in web archiving but has a personal interest in football history.
