Life in the Time of Covid – Stories from the Children of Dublin 12 (Schools Event)

September 21

Free

Presented by Walkinstown Library.

Walkinstown Library in association with Dublin City Council Historian in Residence, South Central, Cathy Scuffil are inviting pupils from schools across Dublin 12 (age groups at the discretion of the schools) to submit their personal stories and experiences of life during Covid 19. This can be a story, a poem, a song or a picture.

If you would like your school to take part in this project please email Walkinstown Library at walkinstownlibrary@dublincity.ie or Ph: 01 2228890 to arrange a visit to meet our Historian in Residence, who will explain the importance of the City Archives and how it operates, show you the valuable local history archive that exists in Walkinstown Library and give pupils ideas for their stories.

On completion of the project a special ceremony will take place where a representative from each of the schools will present their stories to Walkinstown Library who will then hand them over to the City Archives where they will be stored safely for future generations of Dubliners to enjoy. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
