In recent years, the Drumcondra-born footballer and football manager Patrick O’Connell (1887-1959) has received increased recognition for his sporting achievements.

This talk will look at O’Connell’s playing career, focusing particularly on his international appearances for Ireland whilst representing Sheffield Wednesday, Hull City, and Manchester United.

Dr. James Curry Dublin City Council Historian in Residence will tell the story of Patrick O’Connell’s Ireland career.
