Patrick O’Byrne will be giving a talk on the fascinating life of his maternal grandfather Padraig O Caoimh aka Paudeen (1881 – 1973) in Phibsboro Library. Paudeen took part in the Easter Rising, was the first paid General Secretary of Sinn Fein (1917 – 1923) and was in the First and Second Dail.

During the Civil War he was the Deputy Military Governor of Mountjoy Jail.
