Robert Ballagh is one of Ireland’s most celebrated contemporary artists. His work can be found in collections across the city of Dublin, including the Hugh Lane Gallery, the Irish Museum of Modern Art and Trinity College Dublin.

As a painter and designer, his work is strongly influenced by Irish cultural and political history.

In this conversation with historian Donal Fallon, Ballagh will discuss recent works, including a painting inspired by the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Archbishop John Charles McQuaid, and work drawing on the Decade of Centenaries.
