The Minister for Make Believe
October 3 @ 6:00 pm - 7:20 pm

The Little Museum of Dublin presents a staged reading of The Minister for Make Believe. The subject of this play, Brendan Bracken, was born in Tipperary but grew up in Dublin. A notorious fantasist, Bracken talked himself into history on the bootstraps of his hero, Winston Churchill, before trying to extract himself from that history – to protect Churchill’s reputation.
But posterity has its own demands.
Trevor White’s new play examines the power of rhetoric, the demands of friendship, and the ways in which performance and theatricality can change history.
