The Trouble with Recent History
September 29 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
**Apologies, registrations full**
The last 50 years in Ireland present a very turbulent and troubled history. The country has seen terrible violence in Northern Ireland, the collapse of the economy and bailout of the banks, the exposure of shocking abuse perpetrated by the Catholic Church and numerous referenda which have changed Irish society. When do recent events become history?
Historians Diarmaid Ferriter, Caelainn Hogan and Mick Clifford will be in a discussion chaired by Frank McNally.
This event will be livestreamed on the day via the festival website at dublinfestivalofhistory.ie/live
Note: Booking essential for in-person attendance. No registration required for online viewing
