Red Umbrella Film Festival will screen the short documentary film “Les Prostituees de Lyon Parlent” in Pearse Street Library. The film documents the occupation of the church of Saint-Nizier in Lyon by over 200 sex workers in 1975 to protest against police harassment.

This will be followed by a panel discussion covering the history of sex work in Ireland, focusing on topics of care, working conditions and resistance, and how these events relate to the lives of sex workers in Ireland today.
