The talk will be based on Mr. McIntyre’s recently published book “Customs House to Howth Head: A History and Guide” from which he will read extracts.

The purpose of the talk, and book, is to promote the area – an area full of riches, charms and contrasts and particularly to demonstrate the diversity of the area and the fact that it is representative of all eras in Dublin’s and Ireland’s historical story – pre-Christian, Viking and Norman down to modern times.
