Irish Flag History Tour
October 5 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

This year marks 175 years since the Irish tricolour was first raised by Thomas Francis Meagher and flown in Waterford during the Young Irelanders’ rebellion.
This tour is dedicated to telling the story of the Irish tricolour, Thomas Francis Meagher, and the many other flags that have been used by Irish republicans during the fight for independence. Join us at the GPO Museum in celebrating the Irish flag and the values that it symbolises for Irish people all around the world.
Notes: Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There are some flashing lights and loud noises in the exhibition.
Please note booking for this event will be available from 12 September.
