A Celebration of Edward Bunting: his life music and legacy
October 5 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

**Booked out**
2023 marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of a towering figure of Irish music, Edward Bunting (1773–1843). Bunting is best known for notating and transcribing the music of the harpers at the Belfast Harp Festival in 1792 and publishing three seminal collections of Irish music (1797, 1809 and 1840) based on that historic gathering.
This concert celebrates his music, life and legacy. Music and songs from Bunting’s three collections of Irish music are interwoven with extracts from his personal letters with actor Bryan Murray and musicians Teresa O’Donnell, Mary Louise O’Donnell, Denice Doyle, Jane Hughes and Pat Fitzpatrick.
