Join the staff of the Reading Room as they guide you around the newly refurbished space and reveal some of the treasures of the collections – from valuable first editions by famous Irish writers to centuries old volumes from the library of Sir John T. Gilbert.
You can also see Nelson’s Head – from the statue on Nelson’s Pillar which stood on O’Connell Street until 1966. Dublin City Library and Archive holds the collections of Dublin City Archives and a local studies reference collection for Dublin – if you want to research the history of the city and county of Dublin a visit to the Reading Room is a must.
